He was born in Clarke County on December 23, 1939 to the late James F. Huff and Sally Mae Fulcher Huff and was preceded in death by one sister, Freda Bradley and nephew, Kim Bradley. After graduating from Athens High School, he attended Young Harris Junior College and the University of Georgia before being drafted in the United States Army. After serving 1 ½ years in the Finances Corp, he was transferred to Germany and while he was there he toured Europe. After his time was up he entered the University of Georgia again getting his degree in banking and finance. He worked for C & S Bank for 2 years in Augusta, GA. He then bought his first motel in Waycross, GA. At one time he had three motes. After selling them he returned home to Athens. Several years later, he built homes, and sold them and went on to buy Thompsons Furniture Store. Warren was a member of Young Harris United Methodist Church and a former member of Princeton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one sister, Joyce Huff Nixon.
Memorial services will be held 11AM Saturday, November 24th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. DeeDee Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM prior to the service at Bernstein.
At his request, the body will be cremated with private burial at a later date.
