In every sense of the words, Col. Bradberry was an officer and a gentleman. His humor, compassion and example were an inspiration to all who served with him. Cindy and I enjoyed seeing him at the Williamsburg reunion and again in Louisville. We're proud to have known him. John Robertson, C Troop, 3/5 Cav.

I was a platoon Leader in C Troop--3/5Cav in 1970 serving in Viet Nam. Our Squadron Commander was Colonel Bradberry. I was so excited to see him at a reunion a few years ago. He was a fine officer and a great human being. I am so sorry to hear that he is gone. My sympathy goes out to his family.

Sorry for the loss of a fine gentleman and a great military leader. I served under him in Vietnam and thought of him as the best officer I ever met. Like Col.Bachman said he was a hands on people type of leader Who made his troops know that he cared about them, even some one as low down the pecking order as me. I'm grateful for the operatunity to have seen him at the 3/5 cav reunion in Williamsburg a couple years ago.To his family, thank you for sharing him with us and our country.

Bill was a dear friend. His loss hurts. I had the privilege of serving under him when he was Cmdr of the 3/5 Cav Sqdn in Viet Nam. A good man and a terrific soldier. He'll be missed by all who knew him.Well done old soldier; we'll get together again on the other side. Till then.

From the Black Knights. All who served under Bill in the 3/5 Cav in Vietnam are saddened that he has passed. He was a great commander of the Squadron who was a hands on people person. He was a great field soldier which all officer strive to be but only a few achieve. He was a great mentor to me personally. We will remember him at the Squadron memorial service this summer in Colorado Springs. I want to come to the burial if invited. Contact me at bachman1@cox.net or 757 258 9017
