Anna was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Clarence and Dessie Bell on July 26, 1951. Anna attended Corner High School in Dora, Alabama and graduated from Marshal County High School in Benton, Kentucky. She completed two years of college at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham. Anna’s first husband was Pete F. Kreidler who she married in 1969. Her present husband is Roy A. Billinghurst who she married in 1981. Anna worked as an accountant for South Central Bell for ten years and then as a project manager for AT&T for 23 years. She loved fostering dogs and keeping dogs. She placed many dogs in good homes and kept many others as pets. In their retirement years, Anna and Roy raised cattle on their farm in Tennessee and Anna made quilts for relatives and friends. She was also an avid reader.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dessie Bell; her first husband, Pete F. Kreidler; her siblings, Linda Gay Bell, Clarence Lee (“Pete”) Bell, Jimmy Joe Bell, Raymond O’Neal Bell, Jerry Don Bell, Vinetta Leah Jones, Carolyn Nell Herrington, and Edna Yvonne Jessup, and her grandson, Porter Lincoln Dewoskin.
Anna is survived by her husband, Roy A Billinghurst; her children, Robert Adam Billinghurst, Charlotte Yvonne DeWoskin, Cynthia Louise Billinghurst, Lawrence Richard Billinghurst, and James Scott Billinghurst; her siblings, William Nathan “Buddy” Bell, Henry Earl Bell, Clara Mae Viola; grandchildren, Marshal Eliot Dewoskin, Wyatt Yvonne Dewoskin, Brenda Nicole Rosenthal, Danielle Ashley Tucker, Laryna Marce Billinghurst, Jesse James Billinghurst, and Brooke Haley Billinghurst, and her great grandchildren, Colin James Wadle, Colton Mathew Wadle, Forte Luise Billinghurst, Camden Mitchell Calta, Chloe Izabella Tucker, Claira Grace Tucker, Anthony James Billinghurst, and Carter Joseph Billinghurst.
A memorial service for Anna will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319, followed by a reception.
