
Anne Louise O’Connell Martin, 79, of Atlanta, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. She was a 1949 graduate of Grady High School in Atlanta where she was voted “most friendly.” She retired from Georgia Tech Police Department in 1995 where she worked as Police Dispatcher. She loved her Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atlanta. She served on many boards and committees, including: the Senior Board, The Hands across the Bridge, the Fireside Circle, the Redeemer Quilters, the Wedding Guild, and the 731 Club. She was also involved in various civic duties, such as: the Colonial Oaks Civic Association and the Williamsburg Senior Community. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arthur Lee Martin, and her three children: John Martin, Carol Martin, and Kathy Martin. She has one granddaughter, Jacquelyn Martin. The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill on Monday, the twenty-ninth of November from three o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening. A Memorial Service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Tuesday, the thirtieth of November at eleven o’clock in the morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Campus Ministry of Georgia Tech or the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer Memorial Fund. Arrangements under the direction of H.M.
