Audrey Moore Smith

Audrey Moore Smith, age 91, died December 30, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Edwin Houston Smith. She was born in Augusta, Georgia on August 26, 1921 to Eugene Foster Moore and Elsie Englerth Moore, and moved to Atlanta as a young child. Audrey graduated from Girls High School and attended Oglethorpe University where she was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity.

She is survived by her children Edwin Houston Smith, Jr. and his wife Mary of Atlanta and Sheryl Smith Lamar and her husband Hayne of Milford, Ohio, and four grandchildren: Ashley Warlick (Andrew), John Lamar, Tracy Lamar, and Elliott Smith.

A memorial service will be held at Haygood Memorial United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 2, at three o’clock in the afternoon. The family will receive friends at the church at 1:30 PM before the service. A family graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery on Wednesday, January 2, at 10:00 AM in the morning.
