Beatrice Rothschild Caine
February 15, 1917 – April 6, 2018
Beatrice Rothschild Caine, of Atlanta, GA, died April 6, 2018. Born in Chicago, IL, she moved to Atlanta, GA when she was 3 years old. She attended Girls High School and graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in English. She earned an advanced degree in Library Science from Emory University. Most of her working career was spent as the Acquisitions Librarian for Georgia Tech. During retirement, she traveled with her husband extensively and visited every continent. She was an active member of the Temple. Throughout her life she was known for her love of animals and her vivacious personality. Befitting her degree in English and a professional life spent near books, she was during all her years an avid reader and, even in her last years, amazed people with her keen intellect. She would captivate all with her beautiful smile, and put many at ease through her volunteer work with Mended Hearts and the Senior University. While her vibrant and beautiful smile will be sorely missed it will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Edmund Caine. She is survived by her sons, Robert Lloyd Caine, his wife, Jennie and Dennis Caine; grandchildren, Laura Rogers and Lee Rogers; and great-grandchild, Samantha Rogers. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30318.
