Betty Burnett Wallis, 83, died October 29, 2010, at Hospice Atlanta due to complications from cancer. She was born August 10, 1927, in Atlanta, GA, to Venia and Jack Burnett. Betty married Robert Clay Wallis, and they continued to reside in Atlanta for the remainder of their lives. She spent her later years working for Patina, an Italian furniture manufacturer. Betty was an accomplished bowler, and enjoyed line dancing, fishing, and garage sales. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her. Betty is survived by her son Robert (Kelly), her granddaughter Hannah, and her siblings Dolores, Linda, and Jack. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 3 at 2 o'clock at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
