Brett was one of my soldiers who was dedicated to life. He gave everything he did his best. He was a young man who I knew would go far. He did. He’s now with the Lord. 

Although it has been over 30 years, I remember Brett as a good kid in school and an American patriot later on in life.  To the Peterman family , I pray that you will be at peace during this difficult time.

I'm very sorry to hear of your family's loss.  Brett was a joy to work with.  I didn't know him well, and I haven't worked with him in some time, but I did know that if I needed something he would go out of his way to help and pretend to be glad to do it.   

Brett, That day I held you when you were a month old baby, our eyes as they met, made such an impression in me that that memory is as crystal clear today as it was 49 years ago.  Because of that moment in time had such an impact on me, I know that every one you touched has a memory of you that has impacted their lives!  Jo, Darin, Amber and Carrie: I pray for you that the burden of grief may leave quickly and you reach a time when you can laugh at some of the silliness that happened in Brett's life.  But for now, God bless you and my prayers are with you.   Gary

Oh my shared Birthday week Buddy... Brett is truly one of the most genuine people I’ve ever known. I will miss sharing my aviation stories and photos with him.  Hearing his pride for Meaghan & receiving random silly txt messages, no more Charlie Brown & Peanuts comic swaps. This just doesn’t seem real.

I have worked with Brett for over 10 years at AT&T.  I remember Brett as a positive and kind soul. Brett was definitely a proud father,  he would always share stories of what he was up to with his daughter,  Meaghan. I fondly remember talking to him this past October. ; he was so happy for his upcoming birthday and fall to begin. I will always think of Brett when I see the Charlie Brown holiday specials and any NASA news.  Brett will be sorely missed.

JoAnn, this is Pat Plummer Pickett from Zanesville.  So sorry about your son’s death.  I saw the obit in the paper this morning and made the connection.  I’ve been in the Atlanta area for 43 years and live in Tucker.  You know what special friends your brother Bill and I were.  He was always there for me. I remember Brett from BSF Evening Men's Class in Dunwoody GA.  Brett was a member of the administrative team.  He coordinated the Class's  trip to Jackson FL for the retreat and did an excellent job.  

Thanks to one of his many friends in the Class I heard  about Brett's death.  His earthly pilgrimage is now complete. He is in the Father's home prepared for him. 

 Brett lived as a humble human being of faith.  Brett was esteemed by the Father because of this.  

God, who watched over Brett, will be our comfort during this  season of sadness.  May He bless Brett's loved ones  and keep us all  until we  see Brett again in the eternal Kingdom prepared for God's children.

Brett you will be missed and remembered forever!  It was an honor to know you.   Megan your father was an amazing person, always a smile and a kind word and always the first to offer to help anyone.  He was always so proud of you and a more doting father I've never seen.   I'm sure he's in Heaven right now arguing that your current Guardian Angel be transferred and that he be put in as your permanent Guardian Angel.   You can bet he'll win that argument.  If you ever need anything, reach out to any of us.

I work for AT&T in Redmond, WA and although I never had the pleasure of meeting Brett in person,  we were on many conference calls together and I relied on Brett as a resource for my job.  Meaghan, your father was unfailingly kind, humorous and supportive to his fellow AT&T co-workers. I want to send my condolences to Brett's entire family; I will miss this fine man.

You always made us smile with your kind ways, gave us fun times, and lent a listening ear.  We enjoyed your immense pride and love for Meaghan, and we know you will be her lifelong Guardian Angel!

I knew Brett from the industry and worked together briefly on a project. Very kind and funny person. I was shocked to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family and prayers of peace and comfort during this season.

My heart goes out to all of Brett's family.  Brett was such an outstanding man, this is such a great loss.  I feel blessed to have worked with him.  I had several conversations with him about his daughter and I knew that she was the light of his life, he was so proud of everything she has done and the young woman she has become - he really loved sharing about their activities.  I will miss him greatly.

I’m in shock. I have known Brett as an “online friend” for a decade and just heard last night of his passing. Here is a little story of how great Brett was to a person he has never met in person. My daughter recently joined the Army and was attending a school a few hours from Brett. Brett told me that if she needed anything to let him know; he was such a great person. He also told me how happy and proud he was of his daughter who is attending college. I will miss him and our little talks. RIP Brett. -Steve

You were one of the first people I met at a Buckhead Singles Gathering. You stood out for your kindness, friendliness, and sense of humor. Because of you I was able to join our small group. You were always upbeat even when going through challenging times. An honorable serviceman, you shared your experiences in the military with us and were a family man. You served and were known by everyone in the Buckhead Singles. You were one of my greatest supporters of my mission trip to Spain. You were a great father and were always so proud of your daughter; we got to see her grow up through you. Besides being a great friend, you were an example to me and those around you. I got to celebrate your baptism with you. Thank you Brett. I’ll miss you, and your departure leaves a void in all our lives, but we rejoice in your home-going to be with the Lord. Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us the blessing of your son Brett.
