Catherine was born on July 2, 1953, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Leon and Helen Lapinski. She graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1971. In the early 1980s, she moved to Georgia, where she began building both her family and a meaningful career in nursing. Cathy earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and devoted her professional life to caring for others. Her nursing career included work in renal transplants, heart catheterizations, and cardiac research.
Catherine is survived by her devoted husband, Kurt Skrifvars; her children, Kelly Brady, Rebecca Autry and her husband Scott, and Craig Brady and his wife Brittany; and her stepchildren, Niclas Skrifvars and his wife Alison, Christopher Skrifvars, and Michael Skrifvars. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Mavis, Eli, Lucas, and Isabella, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her siblings, three brothers and one sister.
After retiring in 2015, Catherine embraced life fully. She cherished time with her family, found joy on the water boating and cruising, traveled the world, and faithfully supported her favorite soccer team, Atlanta United. She was an avid gardener and baker and dearly loved her animals, Louis and Coco. Catherine was the light of her family, and her love, laughter, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
