Chris and I met while being on the same committee serving dinner to the football team of St. Pius X Catholic High School on late Friday afternoons prior to their games. She was always very friendly, and even though our sons were in different grades, we hit it off immediately. I remember when Chris was first diagnosed with this dreaded disease. She had the same calm, taking each day as it came, battling all the way demeanor up until the very end.
She spoke only of family and wanting to make sure she was present for the next milestone of each of her three children. Her strong faith lifted her up and helped carry her through each and
every obstacle. Chris will be greatly missed and her memory epitomizes what the all-encompassing love for one's faith and family is all about.

Chris was my friend at Saint Mary’s.
Our lives became busy raising children but God’s intervention had us connect right before she was given the news of her cancer. We could not have been closer and our friendship strengthened. .
Her faith never faltered and her courage was beyond measure. She lived every day and her world was her beautiful children.
Her love will be with them and all that she touched. Prayers to her family.
She’s our angel! Marsha

Your wife/ mother was a classmate of mine. I lost my dad when we were entering our junior year. She was one of only a handful that came to the funeral home. She was sincere and comforting. I will always remember her kindness.

It's impossible to overstate the positive impact Chris' life has had on those around her, including me.

Having known Chris for the last twenty years, chiefly through her husband, Earle, I was of course shocked and horrified by the grim prognosis Chris received more than six years ago. Having witnessed these last six years though, the courage and grace that Chris constantly exhibited, and her determination to lead a full life with her family, friends, and community was the truly remarkable and lasting thing. Whatever the shortcomings of science or medicine, Chris' story is a story of human triumph and gift to all who knew and loved her.

RIP, Chris.

Chris was a wonderful wife and mother and friend to many people. She had a great spirit about her and truly loved life as evidenced by her battle over the last 6 years. Chris has been and will continue to be an inspiration to my wife and me. She will be missed by her family and friends. My heartfelt condolences to Earle, Richard, Luke and Gaffney. God bless you and strengthen you in this difficult time.

Chris was about as fine a lady as anyone would ever want to meet. I guarantee she is in Heaven!

Earle, Richard, Luke and Gaffney, I am so sorry. Chris loved ya’ll! Please remember her sense of humor, her wonderful family functions at Thanksgiving and Christmas, her awesome cooking, her great smile and sense of humor and, well, her kick in the butt when you needed it.

Chris was my pal and I miss her something fierce. My life is so much better cause I met her!
