Hanaway, David Edward (1929-2016) David Edward Hanaway passed away peacefully on April 4, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born March 2, 1929 in Meadville, PA. A longtime resident of Meadville, he had resided in Atlanta since 2013 with his son Thair and his family. A graduate of Meadville High School Class of 1948, he served in the Army from 1952-1955. Returning from the Service, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College in 1958. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Frank Victor Hanaway and Katheryn Louis Berg, his brother James G. Hanaway and son Paul Michael Hanaway. He is survived by his son Thair Patrick Hanaway, his wife Sarah Candace and grandchildren Sara Caitlyn and Tara Peyton; daughter Dawn Marie Hanaway and his brother Robert Victor Hanaway LTC USAF RET. Memorial Service and burial will be at St. Brigid Cemetery, Meadville, at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the scholarship program at St. Martin’s Episcopal School, Atlanta, GA
