Dennis Holmes Buie

Mr. Dennis H. Buie (67) of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away in his home on September 23, 2019. Dennis was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Douglas Buie of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was the step-son of Mrs. Allie F. Buie (McDonough, Georgia).

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Karen Denise Price (Chip), two grandsons Mr. Cole Price and Mr. Kyle Price) of Atlanta, Ga., a brother Mr. L. Drew Buie (Pam) of Winston-Salem, N.C., sister Mrs. Dee B. Minter (Mark) of Jackson Ga., and 12 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Buie worked in the banking industry for over 30 years and retired from BB&T Bank. An avid sports fan, Dennis coached youth sports for several decades in Gwinnett County. He loved helping youth develop athletic talent so coaching was one of his greatest passions.

Dennis will be most remembered for his love of his family (particularly his beloved grandsons) as well as for his generosity, kindness and quick wit.

A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at H.M. Patterson & Son Spring Hill Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Limited parking is located next to the South Entrance (on the corner of Spring Street and 10th Street). There will be valet services available. A reception will follow at Park Tavern, 500 10th Street, NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.
