Diane Barbara Echevarria

Diane Barbara Echevarria, a beloved mother and sister, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on June 26, 1960, in The Bronx, New York, Diane touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. The daughter of Patricia Broderick and Jack Leal, she spent 55 years living in Jackson Heights, New York, before residing in Atlanta, Georgia, for the past five years.

Diane is survived by her sons Jason and Kevin, as well as her sister Andrea.

Diane graduated from Queens College with a degree in Sociology. A lifelong learner, she constantly sought ways to improve herself. Professionally, she achieved SHRM Certification, obtained a paralegal certification, and served as a Notary Public in New York State. She worked as an office manager and bookkeeper at All Nations Realty for ten years and as an office manager and human resources representative at Sanky INC for fifteen years. Diane was a friend to all who knew her, always ready to offer help to those in need. She regularly donated to charities, including food banks and Cancer.org.

Diane enjoyed photography, searching for good food, attending concerts, and exploring different genres of music, particularly Broadway musicals. She also loved traveling abroad.

The visitation will take place at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill, located at 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue, starting at 3:00 pm and concluding at 4:00 pm.
