
O'NEAL, Donald Edward Donald Edward O'Neal passed away April 30, 2012. He was born in Atlanta Georgia where he attended Boys High School and later graduated from the University of Georgia. Mr. O'Neal served in the U.S. Army Security Agency on Okinawa during the Korean War and then had a successful business career in sales. Mr. O'Neal's Masonic Memberships included the Atlanta-Peachtree #59 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Yaarab Shrine. Don was Past President of Yaarab Shrine Patrol and of the Southeast Shrine Patrol Assoc., in addition to having been a Past Director of Royal Order of Jesters. Don met the love of his life Carole Kelley, who lived across the street on Poplar Circle when they were teenagers. Don and Carole were married for 59 years. He is survived by his son Terry O'Neal, a daughter Sharon O'Neal Altenbach (Robert), grandchildren Stephanie Altenbach Powell (Chandler) and Sabrina Kelley Altenbach, as well as a new great grandson Shepherd Robert Powell all of Atlanta; and in Boston MA, Andrew Martin Altenbach (Julia) and great grandson Henry Matthew Altenbach, and brother Hughlon W. O'Neal (Jean) of Atlanta. The family will receive friends Friday May 4 from 10-11am with a funeral service being held at 11am at H.M. Patterson & Son Spring Hill Chapel.
