Doris Young White of Atlanta, age 94, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday January 7, 2020 . She was born in Atlanta, raised on Kirkwood Avenue, and attended Girls High School. After high school she eventually went to work for First National Bank where she met and married Dexter White of Decatur. The couple enjoyed many, many years of marriage. They have been faithful members of Brookhaven United Methodist church for well over 50 years. She lived a long, faithful, and full life and will be missed by all. She is survived in death by her husband Dexter, sister Carolyn McDaniel, daughter Angela White, and son Eddie (Joleah) White. She also has 4 grandchildren (Ryan, Mackenzie, Laura, and Anna) and 9 great grandchildren. Visitations will be Friday, January 10, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son - Oglethorpe Hill in Brookhaven and Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Brookhaven United Methodist Church. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
