Dorothy Warren Hicks, our precious Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, blessed us all with her presence on this earth for more than 97 years. On August 15, 2015, the Lord took her to be with Him at her new permanent residence in glory where she has been rejoined with her loving husband David. We will miss her sorely, but rejoice for her victory and look forward to joining her someday. She leaves behind her daughter Mary Edith Gay (Jim), son Woody (Sharon), son Steve (Joan), and son Richard (Linda) seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and dear friend Mary Anne Waithaka. Mrs. Hicks was born, raised, and lived her entire life in the Atlanta area. She loved serving the Lord and being with her family, and always carried a song in her heart. Please join her family at the funeral service on Wednesday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with a visitation at H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill on Tuesday, August 18 from 6-8 p.m.
