Edith Granade Turner died September 3, 2012 following a short illness. She was born to Violet Walker and James H. Granade June 2, 1916 in Conyers, GA. She graduated from Conyers High School and in 1939 was married to Kyle H. Turner, Sr., to whom she was married for 63 years until his death in 2002; they were faithful members of Druid Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA for more than 50 years. She moved to Evergreen, CO in 2003. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kyle H. Turner Jr. and Bevalie Turner, Evergreen, CO, grandsons LCDR Kyle H. Turner III (Joyce), Bethesda, MD; Jeremy Story (Julie), Golden, CO; and Matt Story (Kelly), Lakewood, CO. Additionally, she is survived by great-granddaughter, Lauren Story, Golden, CO; nephews G. Gerald Turner (Harryette), Gulf Shores, AL; and Jim Granade (Sandra), Stone Mountain, GA; two great-nieces, three great-nephews and many friends in Atlanta and Evergreen. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the Sunrise Chapel, Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Road, Atlanta, GA 30328.
