

Edward was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to George Stephen Kennair Sr. and Georgette Elizabeth Crellin on 8/22/1928. Edward married Dorothy May White on 5/15/1947 in New Orleans. Edward worked as a pressman for The New Orleans Item for 10 years until it closed. He moved his family to the Atlanta area in 1958 and was employed by The Atlanta Journal/Constitution for 32 years, retiring in 1990.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, parents George Sr. and Georgette, his brother George Jr. (Evelyn Anderson), sister Georgette Kathleen (Adrien Louis Bertoniere Sr.), sister Jacqueline Ann (Milton Thomas Pritchett), sister Augustine Roberta Dazet (Bernard Joseph Rice), sister Georgie Olivette Dazet (Alfred Yuratich) and sister Ruth Elizabeth Dazet (Thomas Louis Armstrong).
Edward is survived by daughter, Judy Johns (Wayne); son, Edward Jr. (Dot) and daughter, Cheryl Caviness (Chris); Grandchildren Lorie Paulez (Matias); Lisa Johns; Elizabeth Kennair (Dave); Michael Kennair (Jennifer); Colin Caviness (Bailey); Corinne Walker; Caitlin Caviness; Great Grandchildren Anabel Paulez; Tegwen Walker; Madeleine and Carter Kennair; Louise Caviness.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 17, with a memorial service at 2:00 PM in the chapel and a reception following the service. Arrangements are by H. M. Patterson & Son – Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30319.
