Edward "Fast Eddie" Montellanico was born June 19, 1942, in Sewickley, PA to Eleanor and Edward. Moving to Miami at a young age, he began his very active and full life as a go getter, starting with a paper route at age 8! In high school, he participated in every team sport, but his biggest love was baseball. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants at 18 and went on to play in the minors for a few years. After meeting and marrying his wife Jerri, they moved to Sandy Springs and eventually had two daughters, Lisa (Bob) and Jennifer (Jeff), who were the light of his life! He was the best Dad this world has ever seen! He owned a carpet company for many years and eventually retired to become a professional Braves fan, spending most of his time at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, Turner Field and Truist Park. He was the “Yellow” Person to his friends – the person that brightens up the room just by walking in. Recently, he has been referred to as "legend" and "indescribable," and that is so very true. The world will miss his warmth, thoughtfulness and positivity tremendously!
He is also survived by two grandchildren, Regan and Peyton, whom he loved and cherished immensely.
Rest in Peace, Papa. Go, Braves!
