Eleanor V. Lloyd

Eleanor Virgin Lloyd “Muffy” died on April 12, 2011 at the age of 83. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Virgin of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband William Candler Lloyd. She is survived by her sister Bettye Donaldson, and three children, Candy Lloyd, Chris Lloyd (his wife Katie), Laura Fontaine. She also has six grandchildren, Grayson and Hayes Capers, Sara and Molly Lloyd, Hutch and Candler Fontaine. Also surviving is her niece, Gary Ann Wahl. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of Northside United Methodist Church, and the Junior League of Atlanta. Muffy was a talented interior designer, and had a successful career for over 30 years. She was well known for creating beautiful country French interiors. Muffy had a wonderful 53 year marriage with her “Buddy.” They enjoyed traveling all over the world collecting art and antiques. Muffy will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother and a friend to all who crossed her path. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 11 o’clock at H. M. Patterson, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northside United Methodist Church, 2799 Northside Dr., NW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30305
