

Elizabeth B. Gilpatrick, daughter of the late Robert S. Barrett, Sr. and Ruby Brewer Barrett and sister of the late Robert S. Barrett, Jr. died May 19, 2015. Her father, Robert S. Barrett, Sr. played major league baseball for the Chicago Cubs, the Brooklyn Dodgers and Boston Red Sox; her mother, Ruby Barrett was the first lady detective on the Atlanta Police Department. Elizabeth worked in the offices of John Lewis and Hosea Williams and the City Council of Atlanta. She was a city of Atlanta Tennis Champion for 3 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 12 (noon) at Patterson’s Spring Hill. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
