Ellin Maxson
January 20, 1948 – March 20, 2023

Ellin “Linn” Foster Storm Maxson, 75, passed away quietly on March 20, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia surrounded by her family and her faithful caregiver and friend Kenny Andrews. She graduated from Tatnall High School in Wilmington, Delaware. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Bucknell University and a Master’s Degree from Vanderbilt University in Human Development and Counseling. Her career started in Nashville, Tennessee as a very involved social worker. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia and spent many years working for Open Hands Atlanta.
Linn was a great golfer and bowler in her younger years. She loved her cats and enjoyed reading and doing research on various subjects. She was an avid advocate for Women’s and LBGTQ rights. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart. Linn will best be remembered as a loving sister, aunt and friend.
Linn is preceded in death by her parents Josephine Louise Storm and A. Paul Storm, and her brother A. Paul Storm Jr. She is survived by her sister Cherie Season (Willie), her sister in law Joanne Storm, nieces Meredith Season Seelos (Danny), Christy Season Punch (Bradley) and nephews Tim Season and Trey Storm.
A celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM at the H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, March 24, 2023. A graveside service will be held at Lower Brandywine Cemetery, Chandler Funeral Home, in Wilmington, Delaware at a later date.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Greater Atlanta Humane Society
