Erik Wilson Entrekin

Erik was a proud graduate of The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, The University of the South (Sewanee), and the Mercer University School of Law. Over a decade, he built a career practicing law at King & Spalding in Atlanta, where colleagues remember his probing intelligence, loyalty and wit.

Known as a loving, protective, and steadfast friend, Erik formed deep bonds with classmates, teammates, and colleagues. He made many friendships on the baseball field, where he led remarkably successful Westminster and Sewanee teams.

As a child, Erik enjoyed sports, games and adventures with friends in the woods around Rockingham Drive. He looked forward to family holidays on Wilson Road, celebrating with cousins Ward, Dean and Christina at the home of his late grandparents, Julius and Mary Entrekin.

Erik is also predeceased by his grandparents Marie and P.L. Williams and his beloved Aunt Roberta ("Bertie") and her devoted husband, the late Bernard ("Bud") Skeens. Erik loved his family and they will forever cherish his memory.

He is survived by his parents, Fran and Ivan, his brother Alex and sister-in-law Sarah; his uncle Larry Entrekin (Kay) and aunt Martha Entrekin; his cousins Dean Entrekin, Ward Entrekin (Allison) and their children Greer and Trace, Christina Merman (Brian) and their children Cole, Beau and Charlotte, P.L. ("Pete") Williams, Kristi Skeens (Deborah), Sheri Williams (Dave); his nephews Ryon Williams, Kailey Jackson (Jack) and their children Madelyn and Ellie.

Erik's family will celebrate his life at Rush Chapel, 1225 Rush Chapel Road NE, Rome, GA 30161, on Saturday May 3rd at 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, 3180 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, on Saturday, May 10th at 2 p.m.
