

Born Ernst Jean-Pierre in St. Marc, Haiti, to Laureste Demespin and Marie Therese Jean-Pierre Cherubin, Feb 11, 1954. He attended the catholic school of his town until 1969 when he emigrated to Brooklyn, NY where he attended Erasmus high school. Upon graduation in 1975, he joined the U.S. Air Force.
Upon leaving the Airforce, Ernst moved to Rochester, NY, where he found employment at Eastman Kodak as an analytical technician. Ernst married Marie Cecile Mercure. They had one daughter, Theresa Jean-Pierre. He was subsequently transferred to the Kodak Gelatine Plant in Peabody, MA.
Ernst moved to Florida, met his wife and graduated from Florida Atlantic University. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and remarried Therese Joacin. They had one son, Bryan Jean-Pierre. Before his illness, Ernst worked for Fulton County. Ernst died Saturday September 14th, 2024, in his home in Atlanta.
Ernst was loved by friends and family.
Predeceased by his daughter, Theresa Jean-Pierre Coy; his mother Marie Therese Jean-Pierre Cherubin, his oldest brother Renan Cherubin; He is survived by his wife Therese Jean-Pierre; his son Bryan Jean-Pierre; his ex-wife Marice Cecile Mercure; his siblings, Fritz Cherubin, Marlene (Roger) Jeanty, Fresnel Antoine (Marie Yolaine) Jean-Pierre, Michel Frantz (Tulienne) Molaire; his grandchild Thaddeus; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
