
Eva A. Solomon, a native Atlantan, loving mother and friend to many, died Monday, March 26, 2012. She was born December 19, 1925. Eva was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduation, she married Sam David Solomon of Irwin, Pennsylvania. They soon returned to Atlanta, Georgia to raise a family. Eva and Sam had a daughter, Mary and a son Gary. She was a member of St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia and a lifetime member of The Cedar Club of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, as well as her sisters Elizabeth Simon Rumanes and Lucille Simon Najjar, as well as her brother Joseph M. Simon. Eva is survived by her son, Gary Solomon of Atlanta, GA, her niece Elizabeth Rumanes Chebib and her husband Tony Chebib, her niece Laura Najjar Maloof and her husband, Marion, her nephew Joseph Najjar and his wife Elaine, as well as their respective children and many cousins and close friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 29, 2012, at St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church, with a graveside service immediately following at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia. The family will receive guests from 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 28, 2012, with a Rosary Service at 8 pm at H. M. Patterson & Son – Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church, 502 Seminole Ave., Atlanta, Ga. 30307.
