Evelyn Dale Mccall

Dale McCall, 71, died on June 22, 2019. She was a mother to Brian Patrick, her only child. She was also a mother to Marc, a mother to Jane, and the caretaker and protector of her family. She is also survived by her sister, Cathy, and her grandson, Walker Patrick. Dale was selfless, wise, calm, and brave. After being diagnosed with dermatomyositis and ovarian cancer, she fought through two years of ER visits, hospital stays, hundreds of tests and procedures, and too many episodes of Law and Order to count. She faced uncertainty, discomfort, and pain with dignity and a warrior’s spirit. Dale had wonderful, compassionate doctors in Xena Whittier and Amy Carroll, a guardian angel in Kathy Taylor, and her friends Paige and Erin to provide smiles and encouragement. Dale and her son never gave up, battling together to the end, constantly thinking positive thoughts and coming up with the next plan to get her well.

Her boys were with her when she died, holding her hands and saying I love you one more time. She will be cremated and as her son promised, she will finally go home to look out the window and be with George the cat.
