

Frances Dombkowski Curro, 93, of Atlanta died peacefully on September 22, 2015. Fran was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Anthony Curro, and beloved mother of Samuel Anthony Curro, Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, and Rosemary Curro Brannen of White, Georgia. Also surviving were her cherished grandchildren Christopher Brannen, Miles Curro, Brigid Brannen VanVacter, Lauren Curro Bolle, and Vance Curro; and great-grandchildren: Grayson and Hayes Curro; Mackenna, Jacob, and Caroline VanVacter; and Jackson Bolle. Fran was born March 5, 1922, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and proudly served in the Woman’s Army Corps in World War II.
On Sunday evening, September 27, from 6:30-7:30 PM, a visitation will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Rd., NE, Brookhaven, with a Rosary service beginning at 7:30 PM. Frances was an active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church where her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 28 at 11:00 AM, followed by private burial at Arlington Memorial Park. All are invited to a reception with her friends at Mt. Vernon Towers, 300 Johnson Ferry Road, at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home, 760 Pollard Blvd., SW, Atlanta, GA 30315.
