

Frank Amis Millians, Jr. passed away at his home April 21, 2012. He was born on July 28, 1928 to the late Frank Amis Millians, Sr. and Florence Elizabeth O’Shields Millians. He was predeceased by his sister, Beverly Millians Johnson, and his infant brother, Philip Warner Millians. He was educated in the Charlotte, NC school system, and he attended Clemson A&M College. He later graduated from Emory College and Emory Dental School. While at Emory, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order and Psi Omega Fraternity. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1953, and he served as Assistant Dental Officer aboard the USS Iowa during the Korean Conflict. He practiced dentistry in Atlanta for 37 years. He was a member of a number of dental associations, including the Northern District, Fifth District, Georgia State, and the American Dental Association. He was an honorary life member of the Piedmont Driving Club, and he enjoyed spending summers at Hilton Head. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Clare Bundschuh Millians, and his children: William Alexander Millians, his wife Mary, and their daughters Piper and Olivia; Philip Warner Millians, his wife Julie, and their children Margaret and Davis; and Elizabeth Millians Diehl, her husband Rob, and their sons Mac and Foster. Funeral services will be at H. M. Patterson & Son Spring Hill Chapel on Wednesday, April 25th at 11am, with visitation at 10am. Graveside services to follow in Arlington Memorial Park.
