Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 3, 1963, Gina was the daughter of Harry Jenkins, Jr. and Rosemary Patterson Jenkins.
There has never been, and never will be, another person like Gina. She was legendary - for her Halloween parties, Six Flags adventures, concert trips, and her ability to turn an ordinary day into a story worth retelling.
Gina had a theory for most things: government, conspiracies, media, you name it. She questioned everything, trusted selectively, loved fiercely, and never pretended to be anything other than exactly who she was.
Her home was where people came together, had fun, laughed loudly, and left with memories they would talk about for years. Gina lived life on her own terms, surrounded herself with the people she loved, and was utterly, unapologetically unforgettable.
Gina is survived by her loving husband, Heath Moreland; her mother, Rosemary Jenkins; her children, Brittany (Nikolai) Koretski and Christopher Rawlins; her stepson, Christian Moreland; her grandchildren, Cole Rawlins and Constantine Koretski; her brother, Eddie (Kate) Jenkins; her sister, Marilyn Glenn; her niece, Emily (Ryan) Sturchio; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Jenkins, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at H.M. Patterson Oglethorpe. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 27th, at 11:00 am at the same location, with burial to follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Gina's honor.
Though I know we must be parted. As sure as stars are in the sky. I'm gonna see you when it comes to glory.
