Graham Harden Mulling passed away on September 22, 2026, just short of his seventh birthday, after a three year battle with Ewing Sarcoma. Graham was the epitome of the namesake of the Little Warrior Foundation, a charity formed to support children with this disease and pursue a cure; “resilient children who refuse to give up when things get hard”.
Graham was a terrific athlete who enjoyed baseball and soccer. When the Make A Wish Foundation approached his family about a gift for Graham, rather than a trip or activity, Graham suggested that a soccer field be built in their back yard. “Graham’s Soccer Field” has been, and will continue to be, a gathering spot for his brothers and many friends. Graham also served as honorary captain for an Atlanta United game last summer. Despite his illness, he enjoyed trips with his family to the beach and the mountains of North Carolina, where his favorite activity was throwing rocks into streams. Graham was very close to his brothers, Taylor and Connor, who were always supportive, playing gently inside with him when his body became weak from treatments.
Graham was blessed with an extraordinary wit, making his family laugh with him, even as he fought his disease. He never complained nor questioned his condition. Almost every picture taken of Graham during his treatments showed him giving a “thumbs up”. He had a remarkable imagination, which also helped. When he had endured several weeks of being paralyzed and on a ventilator, his father explained to Graham that he had been asleep in his hospital bed. To which Graham replied, “Oh no, I’ve been on a boat!” Graham’s legacy to all he knew him will be his courage and attitude throughout his illness, to which we can all aspire.
Graham is survived by his parents, Logan and Chuck Mulling; brothers, Taylor and Connor Mulling; grandparents, Marie and Carl Westmoreland and Heidi and Michael Mulling; aunt Mary Feilen (Tim) and their daughters, Eliotte and Schaeffer; aunt Brittany M. Frick (Kevin) and their children, Jordan, Holden, and Maryn; uncle Carl Westmoreland III; and uncle Harry Mulling (Hannah) and their son, Wyatt.
His family wishes to thank the staffs of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and MD Anderson hospital in Houston for their support and care of Graham.
A service and celebration of Graham’s life will be held at 2:00 October 1 (his seventh birthday) in the Good Faith Chapel of the Cathedral of St. Philip. In Graham’s memory, contributions may be to the Little Warrior Foundation (https://www.littlewarrior.org/donate)
