

Hayden Garges Yow, born August 17, 1949 unexpectedly passed away on January 17th at the age of 67. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Lawson S. “B” Yow, Jr. and her parents, Hayden and Bob Garges. She is survived by her sisters and their families, Eleanor Maxwell, Leslie Bachler and Elizabeth Izard.
A native of Atlanta, Hayden was a graduate of The Westminster Schools and Emory University. Hayden’s adventurous side could not be contained, therefore she explored. She loved discussing the books she read, expressing her artistic creativity across many unique mediums, and had a bright green thumb that connected her with nature. Her curiosity led to a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and learning.
Recently, she resided at The Mann House in Sandy Springs. She spent many years at the Mann house and her family will be eternally grateful for the care that she received from this remarkable staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta. A private memorial is planned.
