Mrs. Helen Ruth Herring, age 93, passed away March 8, 2012. Mrs. Herring is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Herring, Sr., son, Ernest Herring and daughter, Jeanette Shirley. She is survived by her grandchildren, Pamela Hornung of Atlanta, Paula Walker of Snellville, Joseph Stewart of Snellville, Kenneth Stewart of Conyers, Shirley Herring of Sommerville, TX, Michael Herring of Elk Grove, IL, Steve Herring of Elk Grove, IL and Glenn Herring of Santa Rosa, CA. A number of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Herring will be held, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 3PM in the H.M. Patterson and Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with Pastor Don Herring officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the Marietta City Cemetery.
