Julie and I, and all our family, are so sad to have read about Helen's passing. We remember the days at Pace Academy, the birthday parties for our young girls, and the fun times once had so many years ago.  Know our prayers and deepest sympathy are there with all your family.

I was in awe of her style...her kindness and wit and her intellect! We had in common our boys, our only children from previous marriages, both also remarried. She was fun & funny but never ridiculed or was mean...she was a no nonsense lady and a joy to be around. She made me feel good about who I was in my own skin and gave me confidence just by being her authentic self. Not only has her family lost a gem, so have all her knew her. RIP, lady!

My life wouldn't be the same without knowing Helen. I have all the gratitude in the world that I was able to share such great experiences with her. Whether it was a trip to New Orleans or the Chipotle down the road, we would never escape without laughing to tears. Helen was a smart, relentlessly hardworking friend who I learned so much from. I owe so much to her. My love to Brian and Michael.

I met Helen at KSU the the adult learning center, and she had such a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. She will truly be missed!

May loving memories filled your hearts to comfort you as you mourn your loved one. Sometime, initial shock, disbelief and emotional numbness can keep one from remembering that the God of all comfort is ever near to us.  My sympathies goes out to the Spence family.   Luke 7:11-15

Every time Helen popped into my office here at Kennesaw State University she brought such joy and laughter. Loved me some of that Helen Spence humor! Thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
