Howard was a colleague and a boss but most importantly, he was a friend. The many years we worked together at Sears, I found him to be intelligent, compassionate and dedicated. In the days when Sears was held in high esteem, he was one of the people who made it that way. I am saddened by his death, but I will always be grateful that I knew him.
