Jane Munday West of Atlanta, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Jane lived a life dedicated to her family. She loved gardening, quiet beach vacations with family and spending time with close friends.
Jane grew up in Doraville, graduated from Chamblee High School and went on to attend The University of Georgia, where she met her future husband.
Jane is preceded in death by her beloved parents J. Floyd and Lois Munday, and her devoted husband of 52 years Benjamin "Harry" West. She is survived by her son Jeffrey West of Lawrenceville, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Robert Johnson of Dunwoody; granddaughter Caroline Quintero and her husband Eduardo, and grandson Joshua Johnson.
A memorial service to honor the life of Jane West will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11 am in the Chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Funeral Home in Brookhaven. Internment will be at the Prosperity Cemetery, in Doraville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ASPCA (aspca.org) in honor of Jane's deeply felt concern for innocent creatures.
