

Janet was born on July 27, 1938, in Oak Hill, Ohio, born to Howard and Thelma Kiser Hicks.
She attended elementary school grades 1 – 6, junior high grades 7–9 in Oak Hill, Ohio and graduated high school there in May 1956.
Janet married twice, first to Harold Campbell of London, Kentucky in 1959. He deceased at age 38 in 1963.
Her second marriage was to William Bixler of Kentucky who was former Attorney General of that state.
This union was blessed with one daughter, Nicole Bixler, born September 30, 1971.
Janet attended higher education facilities in Kentucky where she completed college and later completed beautician college where she worked until moving to Clearwater, Florida in 1959.
She remained in Florida until 1963 when she returned to Atlanta, Georgia where she remained until her recent death.
Janet was very active in several clubs and organizations, being a devoted worker in the Democratic Party for several years.
Janet was an accomplished singer and traveled with family doing Southern Gospel concerts throughout the Southeastern part of the country, prior to her graduation from high school.
She relocated to the Cincinnati, Ohio area following her graduation. From there she moved to Georgia where she resided for most of her life – with some years located in Florida.
After returning to Georgia, Janet established her own business called Parapsychological Consultants Inc. (PCI).
Throughout her life Jan received several awards for her tireless and devoted work with many charitable clubs and organizations.
Her major hobby was mingling and interacting with her many friends continuously striving to improve lives and make new acquaintances.
Janet led a happy life serving others.
Janet is preceded in death by parents Howard and Thelma Kiser Hicks.
