Jeanne Aya Duncan, 98, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 12, 2015. The daughter of Elton M. Chapman and May Frank Duffey Chapman, Jeanne grew up in Atlanta and worked for many years as a civil servant in Washington, D.C. She returned for the remainder of her life after living abroad in England and Japan. Jeanne was a poet, an avid reader, and had a creative spirit. She was eternally curious about all things of this world, qualities which she passed on to her succeeding generations. Jeanne is survived by her son, Lane M. Duncan (Linda); granddaughter, Tory Winn (Thomas); great-grandson, Duncan Winn, all of Atlanta; brother, Keith E. Chapman of Boulder, Colorado; his children, and her niece Karen Stephens and family of Issaquah, Washington. Jeanne was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Atlanta.
