Jessie Elizabeth Betsy Cowan, 89, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hospice Atlanta. She was born February 4, 1925 in Atlanta, GA, to Charles Grier Cowan and Elizabeth Clayton Cowan. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Charles Grier Cowan, Jr. She graduated from Washington Seminary in Atlanta, attended Huntington College in Montgomery, AL, and worked for her father's business, Cowan Supply Company, for her entire career. She was a lifelong member of Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta where she volunteered for many years. Her funeral will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 12 o'clock at Peachtree Christian Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery.
