John Stephen Bentley II

John Stephen Bentley, II of Marietta, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012. Steve was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 7, 1954, to the late John S. and Dale Wilson Bentley.  He graduated from Auburn University in 1976, earning a degree in Aviation Management, and received his Masters of Business Administration from Brenau College in 1988. While at Auburn he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and since 2005 had served as secretary of the House Corporation for the Epsilon Alpha chapter at Auburn.  He was a long time employee of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company where he was a Business Management Integrator.   He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-one years, Leslie Fruecht Bentley, his two sons John Stephen Bentley, III, of Marietta and Richard Conrad Bentley and his wife Alexis of Brookhaven, and one sister Patricia Bentley Cloud of Dunwoody.  The family will receive friends after the memorial service which will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church in Atlanta.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martin’s Outreach Fund or Vitas Community Connection c/o Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 1575 Northside Drive, Suite 375, Atlanta, GA 30318.
