John O. Bond, 84, of Atlanta died April 26, 2010. Mr. Bond graduated from Lithia Springs High School and attended Georgia Institute of Technology before serving his country in World War II. He enjoyed a lengthy career with Southern Freight Association and retired in 1984. Mr. Bond was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Louise Bond and two grandsons. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marie; daughters, Sherry Lundeen, Terese Willis, Patti Bond and son, Tommy Bond. He has 6 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 3 great-granddaughters. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 29th at 12pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 with a rosary at 7:30 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319.
