John B. Jacobs, 88, of Dunwoody died August 15, 2010. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Until his death he was the longest living member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He retired from Southern Bell with over 42 years service and was a member of Telephone Pioneers. He was actively involved with Boy Scouts. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Beverly Jacobs; son, James R. Jacobs (Susan); daughter, Lynda D. Jacobs; grandchildren, John G. Jacobs and Dr. James E. Jacobs. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 21 at 11 o’clock at Covenant Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow after the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or Georgia Chapter Alzheimer’s Association.
