

Judy Brantley Weston died peacefully at home on May 1, 2015. Born in Atlanta on May 13, 1938, she attended E. Rivers School, Northside High School, and the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Chi Omega and the Sweetheart of SAE. A devoted member of The Cathedral of St. Philip, she served on the Cathedral Chapter, St. Veronica’s Guild, board of the Friends of Cathedral Music, and numerous committees. Throughout her life she was involved in many organizations, serving as President of the Atlanta Debutante Club, President of the Gardenia Garden Club, and Co-President of the Northside High School PTSA. She also was active in the Junior League, the WHATS, and was a team mom of too many teams to count.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Buddy; two sons, Gil (Michelle) and Doug; six grandchildren who loved her as “Frenzy”, and by her faithful dog, Rusty. She also is survived by her sister, Diane Echols, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, May 6 at The Cathedral of St. Philip, followed by Interment in the Cathedral Memorial Garden and a reception in Child Hall. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock on Tuesday, May 5 at Patterson’s Spring Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s memory to The Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30305.
