Karen Ross Baker, 66, born May 19, 1952, of Atlanta, GA and more recently Lexington, KY, passed October 16, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen is survived by her children, Ashley Baker Osby (Timothy Osby), James Murray Baker IV “Jay” (Jennifer Baker) and her five grandchildren, Candler Brannen, Carson Brannen, Ellery Brannen, Holland Osby, and James Murray Baker V, her sister, Sharon Ross (Joe Ross), brothers David Ross (Lisa Ross), Hargis Ross (Tita Ross) and nephews.
Karen was a vivacious woman with spunk and style and could light up a room and lived her life to the fullest extent. Karen was a flight attendant flying with Eastern Airlines from 1972 until Eastern ceased operations in 1991 years, having moved to Atlanta in 1970 to attend Bauder Fashion College from her hometown of Beattyville, Kentucky at the age of 18. She was involved in interior design & decorating while with Eastern Airlines, played alta Atlanta tennis, and enjoyed her friends and socializing. Karen never met a stranger and had friends from every aspect of her life. She will be missed by many, but forgotten by none. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20 at 3 o’clock at Spring Hill. The family will receive friends Friday, October 19 from 6 until 8 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill, 1020 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309.
