
Katrina Hartman Ripley died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Mrs. Ripley was born in Atlanta on November 3, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enos Hartman and a fourth generation Atlantan. Mrs. Ripley attended E. Rivers Elementary School, Northside High School, and The University of Georgia. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and had many, many friends. She was an avid reader, and loved entertaining and caring for others. Until recently, she enjoyed spending time in both St. Simons and Dillard, GA. To her grandchildren, “Mimi” was their best friend. She was a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, The Cathedral of St. Philip, and Piedmont Garden Club. She was also generous with her time and volunteer work. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and David Reeves, Kim and John O’Brien, and Cary and Charles Calhoun, and grandchildren, Lea and Aiken Reeves, Shannon and Andrew O’Brien, and Chase Calhoun. Funeral service will be Monday, January 14, 2013 at Ten O’clock in the morning at The Cathedral of St. Philip. Private interment will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2013, from four until six in the evening at H. M. Patterson & Son – Spring Hill, and immediately following the service in the Gould Room.
