
Laurence Knight Frick was born December 8, 1970, in Miami Beach, FL. He spent his early childhood in Coconut Grove, Fl, before moving to Clearwater. Fl, where he attended St Paul’s Independent school. There, he excelled in athletics and was elected Senior Class President before graduating in 1989.
Lance graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration Finance and Investment Real Estate from Auburn University in 1994, a place he dearly loved.
In 1996 he established J Lance Properties, which focused on renewing the historic section of Brookhaven, in the Ashford Park, Brookhaven Fields, Silver Lake, and Historic Brookhaven neighborhoods, along with several other areas in metro Atlanta. J Lance Properties began the move toward the infill building in Ashford Park.
In 2001, Lance married Erin Meyer, whom he loved dearly until her death in 2020. Together they had one son, born in 2004.
Lance loved Auburn Football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, cooking, horticulture, traveling, and cherished time with family.
Lance is survived by his Son Taylor Martin Frick of Brookhaven, Ga., Mother Toby Schubert of Amelia Island, Fl., Brother Brian and wife, Sheri Frick of Thomasville, Ga., Father-in-law Peter Meyer and his wife, Patricia Couture of Hampton, Nh., and fiancée Christine Weinstein of Brookhaven, Ga.
A Reception in remembrance will be hosted on November 4 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel at 4550 Peachtree Rd. in Brookhaven.
