

He was raised in Logan, Ohio, where he graduated from Logan High School in 1948. While growing up in Logan, Jack met his wife, Phyllis. They were married on October 11, 1958, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Jack was a devoted and loving husband and the proud father of three children: Cecilia, Stephen, and Patrick.
He began his printing career at Huls Printing Co. in Logan, Ohio, working as a Linotype machine operator. In 1951, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for two years, attaining the rank of corporal and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. While stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, he served as a member of the military police. After his honorable discharge in 1953, he returned to Logan and resumed his position at Huls Printing.
In the fall of 1954, Jack enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Printing. Following graduation, he moved to Atlanta to begin his 35-year career with Mead Packaging.
After retiring in 1993, Jack became an active volunteer at the Cathedral of Christ the King, where he was a devoted parishioner for 68 years. He also joined the Atlanta Astronomy Club, pursuing his lifelong passion for astronomy.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Warner; his son, Stephen Warner; and his granddaughter, Lizzy Warner. He is survived by his daughter, Cecilia Bramlett; his son, Patrick (Meg) Warner; his daughter-in-law, Kelly Warner; his grandchildren, Katie (Toby) Hamby, Emily (Brett) Dexter, and Andrew Warner; and his great-grandchildren, Brayden Hamby, Maci Hamby, Austin Dexter, and Colton Dexter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son–Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319. A light reception will be provided during the visitation. A rosary will be recited in the chapel beginning at 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30305. The Funeral Mass will be livestream on the Cathedral’s website: https://cathedralctk.com/livestream/
Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA.
Jack’s family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of The Retreat at Canton and Trinity Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during the past 14 months.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Jack’s name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home, Atlanta, GA.
