Linda is survived by her mother, Jean Duke; her brother, Fraser Duke; her sister, Ginger Duke; her son, Ben Pierce; daughter in law Erica Pierce, and her five grandchildren, Tyler Pierce (18), Talitha Pierce (11), Timothy Pierce (9), Tabitha Pierce (6), and Titus Pierce (3).
Linda was born in Atlanta on August 20th, 1948 to Paul and Jean Duke. She enjoyed much of her childhood and adolescence horseback riding and spending time with her family at the beach. She attended the University of Georgia and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She later married David Pierce and gave birth to her only son Benjamin Pierce on November 16th, 1980.
Linda was widely known among her friends, family, and anyone she met as being a kind and loving person. Whether it was her giving spirit or her positive radiance, everyone who met her was glad to say that they knew Linda. If you asked her how she was doing, she would change the conversation to ask how you were. People who knew her best knew that she never had a negative comment to say about anyone. Though she faced many physical limitations throughout her life, she did it kindly and lovingly. She was a devoted follower of Christ, and was always willing to help and care for anyone who needed it. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew her.
