Loeta Adamson Gravitt

Loeta Adamson Gravitt, a long-term resident of Dresden Drive in Brookhaven passed away Wednesday the 26th of September 2018 at Dalton Place Assisted Living in Dalton, GA from living a very full life of servitude.

Loeta was born on April 2, 1923 in Lula, GA to her parents Emma Wright Adamson and Joseph N. Adamson. She finished her education and moved to Atlanta where she worked for Lawyers Title and met the love of her life. She Married Dan Gravitt May 22, 1953 and was by his side when he passed away August 27, 1985.

Loeta and Dan were strong supporters of their Church and Missionary Organizations. Loeta was very proud of her Conservative convictions. She spent much of her life supporting Animal Rights causes as well.

Loeta is survived by two sisters-in-law, Uldine Adamson and Charlene Gravitt; two nieces, Betty Ann Shelton and Susan English; great-nieces and nephews, Lori Ann Shelton, Kyrie English, Davina McCoy, Daniel Adamson and Brian Adamson. She is also survived by several special cousins, friends and neighbors.

Visitation for Mrs. Loeta Gravitt will be from 9-10:30 A.M. on Saturday the 6th of October with services following at 11:00 A.M. at H M Patterson Oglethorpe Chapel in Brookhaven, GA. Burial will be without Service in Fain Cemetery in Calhoun, GA at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loeta’s name to the pet association of your choice.
