

Louis C. Robinson, 95, of Atlanta, Georgia passed way on November 11, 2014. LC was born December 29, 1918 in Thorsby, Alabama to Sarah and Louis C. Robinson Sr. He graduated from The University of Alabama and went to work for TCI in Birmingham. He married Beatrice Fralish of Dothan Alabama. They were stationed in Seattle, Washington during WW II where LC was an electrician in the Navy and Bea was a nurse at the Naval Hospital. A man that was always studying and working to better his life for his family, LC went on to be a chemical engineer for Purex Corporation and then a commercial real estate developer in Atlanta. Living most of his life in Atlanta, LC loved the Lord and was very involved in Wieuca Road Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a deacon and a former church treasurer. LC loved church music and gave the church a baby grand piano that is still played in the sanctuary today. He attended and was involved in the church until his passing. LC was a member of the Atlanta Athletic Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his wife and the duffers golf group. Always giving of his time to make his community a better place, LC was a member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of Truett McConnell College, and a donor to Samford University. He also was very supportive of the Haggai Institute to spread the word of Christ around the world. LC and Bea enjoyed traveling with friends, especially to Asia where they made many lasting friendships. One of his most memorable trips was to Scotland where he played golf on The Olde Course at St. Andrews. LC and Bea also enjoyed traveling with the Wiecua Wanderers on their many camping outings. LC married a longtime friend, Kathryn Kizer later in life and they lived at Lenbrook in Atlanta where many of their friends from Wieuca live. They enjoyed a wonderful and loving life and enjoyed taking part in many of the activities and programs provided at Lenbrook and Wieuca Road Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice, and grandson Forrest Andrew Robinson. LC is survived by his second wife Kathryn Kizer Robinson, daughter Betty Lou Wickstrom, her husband Phil and son Philip; son Forrest W. Robinson and his wife Karen; grandson Matthew Robinson and his wife Lauren; granddaughters Amy Lane Robinson, Elizabeth Raye Rothermel, her husband John; and great grandsons Woods Robinson and Jack Rothermel, all of Atlanta. LC was loved very much by Kathryn and her family: son Lawton (Chuck) Kizer and his wife Sally, children John and Sarah; son Russell Kizer and his wife Carol and their children, Meredith and her husband Drew McDonald, Madeline and Meleigha. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill. Funeral services will be held at Wieuca Road Baptist Church on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the music ministry at Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
