Lucy Cole Black, 92, a longtime resident of Atlanta passed away peacefully September 12, 2011 at Fountainview Center for Alzheimer’s Disease where she was lovingly cared for the last seven years of her life. She was a devoted friend, wife, mother and grandmother, great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Bridges Black, and her six siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Black Wright, son-in-law Jim Wright, grandchildren, Christopher James Wright and Lucy Lane Wright Horlock and her husband Bill Horlock, three great grandchildren, Grace, Will, and Carol Clair Horlock, a sister-in-law, Peggy Cole, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. September 15, at Oak Grove UMC. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to honor Lucy with a gift to Grace UMC or the Georgia Alzeimer’s Association.
